APX and Nokia team up to improve public safety

Ottawa, Canada and Espoo, Finland – August 13, 2018 

APX, the leader in smart mobile technology, and Nokia, today announced a teaming agreement to deliver smart mobile technology for first responders through the APX CityScape software suite and Nokia’s Advanced Command Center (ACC).

APX CityScape mobile software – the easiest, fastest, and most effective way to capture and share tactical pre-incident plans – will enhance Nokia’s ACC, the next generation control room solution which combines rich media emergency call taking, video orchestration and analytics, intelligent dispatching and smart city IoT integration.

Public safety agencies can now:

  • Utilize APX’s powerful cloud-based, highly secure pre-planning and inspection mobile software across multiple branches

  • Enhance situational awareness and improve decision-making by integrating multiple applications and data sources

With the launch of Next Generation 911 and deployment of mission critical broadband networks like FirstNet, public safety organizations today need better coordinated and integrated data solutions to ensure they have the right information at the right time.

APX CityScape adds meaningful data like building plans, hazards, occupancy, and other specifics to complement Nokia’s ACC video- and IoT-based insights, instantly delivered to first responders en route to emergencies through mission critical broadband networks.
