NFIRS 5.0 Element: ‘EMS Patient Sequence Number’

Définition : Unique number assigned to each patient treated at a single EMS incident.
 
Purpose : The patient number identifies each EMS patient separately in the EMS file. Data and other information concerning the patient can be accessed using this number in conjunction with other unique field information.
Entry : Enter the identification number assigned to this patient. A separate Patient Number is assigned to each EMS patient. The first patient is always coded “001,” and each succeeding patient is numbered sequentially and incremented by 1 beginning with “002.” The three-character numeric field is zero filled, not right justified.
