NFIRS 5.0 Element: ‘Fire Service Casualty Sequence Number’

Définition : A unique number is assigned to each fire service casualty occurring at a single incident or resulting from an incident.
 
Purpose : The casualty number of the firefighter identifies each fire service casualty separately in the casualty file. Data and information concerning the casualty can be accessed using this number in conjunction with other unique field information.
 
Entry : Enter the firefighter casualty number assigned to this casualty. A separate Casualty Number is assigned to each fire service casualty. The first casualty is always coded “001,” and each succeeding casualty is numbered sequentially and incremented by 1 beginning with “002.” The three-character numeric field is zero filled, not right justified.
