NFIRS 5.0 Element: ‘Fire Service Injuries’
Définition : The number of fire service personnel injured as a result of an incident.
Purpose : This information can be correlated with other data to help understand how to reduce future fire injuries and deaths. Furthermore, this information can be used to reduce firefighter injuries and deaths through better equipment, training, and physical conditioning.

Entry : Enter the number of fire service personnel from your department who were injured (but did not die) in connection with this incident regardless of incident type. A Fire Service Casualty Module must be completed for each individual counted here.
Include those people injured while responding to or returning from the incident. If the injury occurred on fire department property after the apparatus was placed back in service, do not include it in this section.
