NFIRS 5.0 Element: ‘Fuel Moisture’
Définition : The 10-hour reading of the moisture content of a fuel stick taken in the general area of fire origin. Fuel moisture is expressed as a percentage of the weight (generally ranging from 0 to 25 percent).
Purpose : Information about fuel moisture is used in fire modeling to assess the potential for ignition and rate of spread for different fuels under various weather conditions.
