NFIRS 5.0 Element: ‘Meridian’
Definition : Reference or beginning point for measuring east or west ranges.
Purpose : This information may be of value to local authorities for contacting the owner in connection with the fire and in making a long-term analysis of wildland fires in similar areas or on property under the same ownership.

Entry : Enter the alternate location information using the specific Latitude and Longitude where the fire started or, alternatively, enter the Section, Township, Range, and Meridian.
