Definition : Yes if no flame spread OR if the type of material that contributed most to flame spread is same as Material First Ignited (Block D4, Fire Module) OR if unable to determine.
Purpose : Knowing what type of material contributed most to flame spread is helpful in finding out why fires advance through a structure and understanding the rate at which fires develop. A study of this entry also aids in assessing the need for standards on the flammability of materials. This information can also be helpful to manufacturers for improving products.
