NFIRS 5.0 Element: ‘Relative Humidity’

Definition : Relative humidity is the ratio expressed as a percent of the amount of water vapor to the greatest amount possible at the same temperature. Air temperature is measured in degrees Fahrenheit at the location of the fire origin when the fire started.
Definition : Temperature and humidity information is used to access the potential for ignition in various weather conditions and to understand problems associated with suppressing fires in different ambient temperatures and humidity levels.
