What NFPA Doesn’t Measure – But Should

When a 9-1-1 caller reports a fire emergency, the
communication officer at the public safety answering point
(PSAP) collects and passes information to a dispatcher who, in
turn, informs the nearest fire station. The always-ready fire crew
then heads immediately to the emergency location.

Because of the criticality of fire emergencies, especially in
urban centers, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
